We’re so excited for the newest launch of AI Lab - this version includes includes GPU support for UDFs! You can now run user defined functions on GPU hardware.
You can now write UDFs that are designed to be executed on GPUs that are part of your Exasol cluster - this is especially useful for high volume AI & ML-related workflows.
This is a significant step forward that will deliver even better performance for Exasol users and developers!
AI Lab also includes a step by step walk through for configuring and running GPU-accelerated UDFs. The example walks through a semantic search use case - a great fit for the additional compute power GPUs can deliver.
