What's this about?

This version of Virtual Schemas allows you to access document files stored in S3 like any regular Exasol table.

So for example you can integrate your product information, which is stored as JSON files on an S3 bucket, into your analytics on Exasol.

This Virtual Schema is based on the virtual-schema-common-document-files. That allows you to create custom Virtual Schemas for other file systems.

Currently supported file types are JSON and JSON-Lines (one JSON document per line). You can also write plugins for different document types.

To get started with the S3 Virtual Schema we have created a hands-on guide. This guide will lead you through the steps of creating your very first S3 Virtual Schema.
