Size limitation for the result set of a subquery.

Padawan

Is a limit to the size of a result set that is returned by a subquery.

Say I have a selection like this one:

SELECT x FROM t1 WHERE x IN (select x from t2_with_lots_of_xes);

Would the resulting set be limited in any way?

Or maybe to add some more detailed info:

You can use as many data as you want.

But at a specific point, when your data amount exceeds you DB RAM, you may

recognize a way longer execution time, as the DBMS has to extensively use the HDD.

There's no limit for subqueries. 😉

You can use as much data as you want.
