Hi,

Does Exasol  considers IDLE session as active session? If no , at what point should  we worried about number of IDLE sessions?

Regards,
Sreekanth

Hi Sreekanth,

IDLE sessions are not considered as active sessions. I think you're fine with your amount of idle sessions. I've seen way more with a still fine-performing system.

Here's a short article about session management which I think is quite interesting for you: https://docs.exasol.com/database_concepts/session_management.htm

Best regards,

Kristof

As described in the linked article, sessions in status "IDLE" can internally be classified as active under certain conditions.
