We’re so excited for the newest launch of AI Lab - this version includes includes **GPU support for UDFs**! You can now run user defined functions on GPU hardware.

You can now write UDFs that are designed to be executed on GPUs that are part of your Exasol cluster - this is especially useful for high volume AI & ML-related workflows.

This is a significant step forward that will deliver even better performance for Exasol users and developers!

AI Lab also includes a step by step walk through for configuring and running GPU-accelerated UDFs. The example walks through a **semantic search** use case - a great fit for the additional compute power GPUs can deliver.
